Supporting Each Other

The Awori Welfare Association of Nigeria (AWAN) is a non-profit organization that aims to promote the welfare and development of the Awori people in Nigeria. The Awori people are a subgroup of the Yoruba ethnic group and are predominantly located in the southwestern part of Nigeria, particularly in Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo states.

AWAN was established to address the social, economic, and cultural needs of the Awori community. The association works towards fostering unity and cooperation among the Awori people, preserving their cultural heritage, and improving the living conditions of its members.

AWAN carries out its activities through various programs, projects, and partnerships with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders. The association organizes events, seminars, workshops, and conferences to raise awareness about the needs and challenges of the Awori community and to find solutions to address them.

 

AWAN also engages in community development projects such as the construction of schools, provision of scholarships, drilling of boreholes for clean water supply, and establishment of vocational training centers.

 

Overall, AWAN plays a crucial role in improving the well-being and advancing the interests of the Awori people in Nigeria, ensuring their cultural heritage is preserved while fostering their development in various spheres of life.
